OUR FOUNDATION
Kingdom Church Cambridge is founded upon the unchanging Word of God and the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
OUR IDENTITY
"My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations" (Mark 11:17). Prayer is the foundation and lifeblood of all that we do. No ministry is undertaken, no decision made, without being undergirded by prayer.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19). Every believer is called to grow into the fullness of Christ. Through Life Groups, mentoring, and teaching, we ensure no one is left behind.
"The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few" (Matthew 9:37). We identify, train, equip, and send labourers into the harvest field β both locally and to the ends of the earth.
"Seek ye first the kingdom of God" (Matthew 6:33). We are centred not upon any personality or programme, but upon the eternal Kingdom of God and the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
01 β The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Bible, comprising the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, the infallible, all-sufficient rule for faith and practice.
2 Timothy 3:16β17; 2 Peter 1:20β21
02 β The One True God
We believe in the unity of the One True and Living God, who is the Eternal, Self-Existent "I AM", who has revealed Himself as One Being co-existing in three Persons β Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
03 β The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the Virgin Birth, Sinless Life, Miraculous Ministry, Substitutionary Atoning Death, Bodily Resurrection, Triumphant Ascension, and Abiding Intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in His personal, visible, bodily return in power and glory.
Isaiah 7:14; Hebrews 4:15; Acts 1:11; Titus 2:13
04 β Salvation Through Faith
We believe in salvation through faith in Christ, who died for our sins, was buried, and was raised from the dead on the third day, and that through His Blood we have redemption.
Ephesians 2:8β9; 1 Corinthians 15:3β4; Colossians 1:14
05 β The New Birth
We believe in the new birth β the born-again experience β which is an instantaneous and complete operation of the Holy Spirit upon initial faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is essential for salvation.
John 3:3β7; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Titus 3:5
06 β Baptism in Water
We believe that all who have truly repented and believed in Christ are commanded to be baptised by full immersion in water, as identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3β4
07 β Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an enduement of the believer with power for service, with the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44β46; Acts 19:6
08 β Gifts of the Spirit
We believe in the present-day operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Church, for the edification of the Body of Christ and the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 12:1β11; Ephesians 4:11β13; Romans 12:6β8
09 β Divine Healing
We believe that deliverance from sickness by divine healing is provided for in the Atonement and is the privilege of all believers.
Isaiah 53:4β5; Matthew 8:16β17; James 5:14β16
10 β The Kingdom of God
We believe that the Kingdom of God is both a present reality and a future hope. We are called to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, to advance His Kingdom on earth through prayer, evangelism, discipleship, and the pursuit of justice.
Matthew 6:33; Luke 17:20β21; Revelation 11:15
