Become a Member

Membership is more than attendance — it's a commitment to the vision, to the community, and to your own growth as a disciple of Christ.

What Does Membership Mean at KCC?

At Kingdom Church Cambridge, membership is a covenant relationship. It's a mutual commitment between you and the church community. When you become a member, you're saying: "I'm not just passing through — I'm planting my feet here. I'm invested. I'm accountable. I'm building."

In return, the church commits to shepherding you, equipping you, supporting you in times of need, and creating an environment where you can flourish in your God-given calling.

We don't believe in passive Christianity. We believe every believer has been given gifts, talents, and a Kingdom assignment. Membership is about stepping into that assignment with the support and accountability of a local church family. Our DNA is that we are a labouring church — every member is a worker in the harvest field.

Our heart: We want every member to be fully trained, fully equipped, and fully activated in their faith — not warming pews, but changing the world.

What You Can Expect From Us

When you become a member of Kingdom Church Cambridge, you are not just joining a group — you are being grafted into a family. Here's what you can expect from us:

🏠

Pastoral Care Through Life Groups

Every member is placed into a Life Group — a small group of up to 15 people that meets locally near where you live. Your Life Group Pastor is your first point of contact for pastoral support, prayer, mentoring, and discipleship. No one falls through the cracks.

📖

Sound Biblical Teaching

Consistent, Spirit-led teaching of the Word that equips you for life, ministry, and your Kingdom calling.

🎓

Training & Development

Access to KCC University — our world-class discipleship and training courses designed to mature you in the faith and equip you for service.

🗳️

Governance & Voting Rights

Have a say in how the church is run. Participate in AGMs, vote on key decisions, and help shape the direction of KCC.

🤝

Community & Fellowship

Deep, meaningful relationships with people who genuinely love God and genuinely love you — both on Sundays and through your Life Group during the week.

🚀

Opportunities to Serve & Launch

Be released into your gifts. Serve on teams, lead initiatives, and use your talents for the Kingdom. Life Groups are also launching pads for future leaders and church planters.

What We Expect From Members

Membership is a two-way covenant. Just as the church commits to you, we ask that you commit to the following. KCC is a labouring church — we don't do spectators, we raise workers for the harvest.

🔥 Commitment to Spiritual Growth

Every member is expected to complete the KCC Orientation Course — a short, focused training covering our core beliefs, church values, and how KCC operates. Whether you've been a Christian for decades or are newly born again, this course ensures that all members share the same foundation and understanding of our house. Beyond this, members are expected to pursue ongoing development through KCC University's courses — growing deeper in the Word, in doctrine, and in their gifting.

⛪ Faithful Attendance & Active Participation

Being present matters — but at KCC, faithfulness goes beyond Sundays. We expect members to be consistent in attending Sunday services, but also to be committed to our weekly prayer meetings and to participate in Kingdom Watch. KCC is built on prayer. We believe in covering not just our church, but Cambridge and Cambridgeshire in fervent, strategic prayer. Every member must be committed to a life of both personal and corporate prayer.

Beyond attendance, every member is expected to serve in at least one team. We don't want spectators — we want labourers. Your gifts, talents, and time are needed. Serving is not optional — it's part of the DNA of what it means to be a KCC member.

🏠 Life Group Commitment

Every member is required to be part of a Life Group. Life Groups are the heart of how we do pastoral care, discipleship, and community at KCC. These are small groups of up to 15 people, organised in close proximity to where you live, and led by a trained Life Group Pastor. Your Life Group is where you are known, cared for, mentored, challenged, and equipped. It is your first point of call for pastoral support and the place where deep discipleship happens.

Life Groups are not just Bible studies — they are launching pads for future leaders and church planters. Learn more about Life Groups →

🤲 Generous Living

We teach biblical stewardship. Members are encouraged to give generously as an act of worship and faith — supporting the mission of the church, the needs of others, and the advancement of the Kingdom. Generosity is a lifestyle, not an obligation.

🛡️ Accountability & Integrity

We hold each other to a high standard — not in judgement, but in love. Members agree to live lives that honour Christ, to be open to correction, and to resolve conflicts biblically. Your Life Group Pastor and the wider leadership are here to walk with you through every season.

In summary: We expect members to be present, praying, growing, giving, serving, and accountable. These are not burdens — they are the marks of a healthy, thriving disciple and the DNA of a labouring church.
